For Craig Ernst, real estate isn’t just about buying and selling homes—it’s about understanding them. A sixth-generation New Orleanian, Craig’s connection to the city runs deep, shaped by a lifetime of experience in its homes, neighborhoods, and history.

His first job? Helping out at his family’s small furniture shop on Magazine Street at the age of ten. His dad might argue that there were a few too many cartoon breaks in between tasks, but Craig insists it was the start of his love for homes, craftsmanship, and business.
That early experience—watching how homes were furnished, how people interacted with their spaces, and how even the smallest details made a difference—set the foundation for his career today.

Now a full-time Realtor and Certified Historic House Specialist, Craig helps clients navigate the nuances of historic homes with calm, strategic guidance. He knows that no two homes are the same—and neither are the buyers who will love them. His approach is equal parts education and advocacy, ensuring his clients not only understand the process but feel confident in their decisions.

And because he doesn’t just sell history—he lives it, Craig volunteers as a tour guide with Friends of the Cabildo, leading history and architecture walks through the French Quarter. Whether he’s introducing visitors to the city’s past or helping clients uncover a home’s true potential, storytelling is at the heart of what he does.
